Functional Laser Therapies

NightLase

An FDA-approved therapy for reducing snoring and improving sleep apnea.

NightLase is a minimally invasive technique that utilizes thermal energy to return floppy tissues to their original form and function. The specific floppy tissue in this procedure is the soft palate which is more often than not contributing to snoring and the obstruction during sleep apnea.

In just a few comfortable treatments, the soft palate can be restored and without surgery!

This is an adjunctive treatment modality that complements orthopedic remodeling, oral myofunctional therapy, tongue-tie surgery, and breathing re-education. It can be performed as a stand-alone treatment, but is most effective when coupled with a comprehensive plan of airway rehabilitation.

TonsilLase

TonsilLase is an iteration of the NightLase procedure. As you probably guessed, it is the gentle laser therapy that shrinks and minimizes the size of the tonsils. And, you guessed it, this is therapy, not surgery.

As a stand alone procedure, this is completed in about 10 minutes.

This procedure is performed in our practice by a DNP (doctor of nursing practice) as the tonsils are a part of the medical scope of practice!

NaseLase

Another iteration of the NightLase family of laser therapies, NaseLase helps to firm collapsing nostrils.

Why would nostrils collapse? It can be due to weak cartilage, previous nose surgery, trauma, or for no reason at all.

Why it matters: the nostrils are the first point along the airway in which airflow can start to get limited. This can then lead to mouth-breathing behaviors, increased respiratory effort to breathe through the nose, and/or can lead to a higher risk of developing/contributing to sleep apnea.

The NaseLase procedure is usually performed in conjunction with NightLase and is performed by our DNP.
