Early Intervention for Children
Pediatric airway care in Issaquah, near Seattle
Breathing, sleep and jaw growth problems show up as soon as baby teeth come in, long before the traditional orthodontic check at age 7. At AirSync, Dr. Kimberly Santiago evaluates children by age 3 and gently guides their growth, so they can breathe, sleep and develop at their best.
Every child should be evaluated at least by age 3
AirSync is on a mission to have every child evaluated for growth, breathing, oral function, and sleep by age 3—ideally starting soon after birth. Then check-ins every six months for function and structural therapeutic guidance. The earlier we can identify a potential breathing or sleep problem, the earlier we can intervene, and preserve neurocognitive development.
Children deserve healthy breathing, quality sleep, strong immunity, and the best chance for optimal growth. Traditional dentistry and orthodontics often wait until age 7 to address crowded teeth, but by then, underlying airway and growth issues are already established. These concerns appear early as baby teeth erupt. Delaying care means missing critical years of growth and development, sleep and brain development, when it’s easier and less invasive to correct early. If left untreated, your child may struggle with snoring, apneas, repeated ENT surgeries, suffer behavioral/cognitive/attention problems, and lasting neurocognitive effects.
Our children deserve the best opportunity for healthy breathing, qualitative sleep, optimized cognitive development, and a strong immune system.
Our AirSync Gold Standard replaces the outdated “wait and see” approach with proactive, gentle care that supports jaw and airway development, restores healthy sleep, and promotes long-term wellbeing. Early intervention gives children the best chance to thrive—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our pediatric treatments offer the best outcomes for your child:
- Nuvola — clear aligners that influence cranial balance to support jaw and airway health.

- Reverse-pull facemasks — to stimulate forward growth of the jaw.
- MARPE— corrects underbites, significant width deficiencies, severely impaired nasal breathing or sleep apnea for middles, tweens, and teens (and adults).
- MyoMunchee / MyoBrace — As indicated, to train proper breathing and chewing.
