Sleep better, look better, thrive everyday

The Best Tools for the Best Version of Yourself

Teens + Adults

You will love our whole-person approach

At AirSync, we go far beyond straightening teeth. We develop the foundation of your face—your jaws, airway, tongue space and nasal dimensions, so your smile, esthetics and sleep all improve together. When the bones are too small, simple orthodontics can only rearrange teeth. When the foundation is expanded and aligned, everything changes: smiles widen, cheekbones lift, the face becomes more balanced, the profile softens, and breathing becomes easier day and night.

This isn’t cosmetic orthodontics. It’s life changing health-focused facial development and orthodontics with functional purpose. A stronger, healthier airway leads to better sleep, better mood regulation, better cognitive performance and better long-term wellness. And the esthetic benefits are a natural outcome of restoring the structure your face was meant to have.

Using the proprietary SANO Method™, Dr. Kimberly Santiago and her team combine precise diagnostics with years of advanced training to create treatment plans that improve both beauty and biology. AirSync helps teens and adults achieve wider smiles, elevated facial harmony and more refreshing, uninterrupted sleep—by treating the root cause, not just the teeth.

Beyond Straight Teeth: Optimizing the Jaws, Face, Nose, and Airway

What does the palate have to do with breathing, sleep, and facial appearance? Everything.

The palate forms the roof of the mouth and the floor of the nose. When it is narrow or high-arched, the tongue loses support, nasal airflow becomes restricted, and airway resistance increases—raising the risk for breathing-disordered sleep, including sleep apnea. The face doesn’t simply follow genetics; it develops around the airway we grow into.

At AirSync, we correct underdeveloped jaws and constricted palates because expansion does far more than make room for teeth. It widens the nasal floor, improves airflow, reduces airway obstruction, and supports healthier breathing and sleep. At the same time, it allows the face to develop—or rebalance—toward its natural proportions, often improving facial symmetry, midface support, smile width, and overall harmony.

As nasal breathing improves, the tongue is better supported, nighttime breathing stabilizes, and sleep deepens. As jaw structure improves, patients often notice a fuller, more balanced smile, improved lip support, better facial posture, and a more youthful, rested appearance—without artificial cosmetic intervention.

With Dr. Kimberly Santiago’s expertise, even adults can achieve the jaw anatomy they were meant to have or wish they had developed earlier in life. Through advanced airway-focused orthodontics and integrative care, we reshape the foundation of breathing, sleep, facial balance, and long-term health.

When breathing is optimized, the nervous system calms, sleep quality improves, and the body functions more efficiently allowing health and facial esthetics to align naturally for true whole-body well-being.

Health-Driven Esthetics™

At AirSync, facial esthetics are never the goal—they are the result.

When the jaws are properly developed, the airway is open, and nasal breathing is restored, the face often softens and balances naturally. Patients may notice a wider, more confident smile, improved lip and cheek support, better facial symmetry, and a more rested, youthful appearance.

These changes don’t come from fillers, veneers, or cosmetic shortcuts.
They come from restoring the structure and function your body was designed to have.

True beauty follows health. Always. Let’s Get You AirSync’d.

Tongue-Ties: The AirSync Approach

At AirSync, tongue-tie care is never isolated—it is airway-first, data-driven, and designed for lasting success.

Dr. Kimberly Santiago takes a comprehensive approach that begins before any release is considered. A CBCT scan is a critical prerequisite, allowing us to confirm that there is adequate space within the mouth and behind the tongue to support healthy tongue posture after surgery. Without sufficient anatomical space—or without proper tone and functional rehabilitation—a tongue-tie release may fail to deliver long-term benefit.

We do not clip and hope.

Every treatment plan is built around the SANO Method™: Sleep · Airway · Nervous System · Oral Function

Tongue-tie care at AirSync is individualized, precisely sequenced, and fully integrated with myofunctional therapy, laser therapy, and—when indicated—airway orthopedics or orthodontics. This ensures the tongue has both the space and the function needed to succeed.

As the original tongue-tie surgeon in the Pacific Northwest and the first provider of BabyLase® and OraLase® therapy in Washington State, Dr. Santiago brings unmatched experience to every case. Surgical care combines OraLase®, myofunctional therapy, and a hybrid Functional Frenuloplasty approach to create the optimal environment for healing and stability. Using the LightScalpel® laser, releases are performed with exceptional precision, minimal discomfort, and faster recovery.

When performed in the right anatomical and functional context, tongue-tie release can reduce tension, improve mobility, support nasal breathing, enhance oral function, and positively influence sleep, posture, and overall health. Many adults experience both immediate physical relief and a deeper awareness of how a small restriction had been affecting the entire body.

For expert, airway-centered tongue-tie care, AirSync sets the standard in the Pacific Northwest.

Why Addressing a Tongue-Tie Matters—Especially Later in Life
When evaluated and treated properly, addressing a tongue-tie can improve nasal breathing efficiency, support deeper and more restorative sleep, reduce orthodontic relapse, and relieve jaw and neck tension. By allowing the tongue to function as intended, treatment can enhance facial balance and long-term skeletal stability, support healthy nervous system regulation, and improve outcomes of orthodontic, airway, and surgical care. This is not about chasing perfection. It is about restoring the function the body was designed to have.

Customized. Functional. Designed for You.

No two patients share the same anatomy, history, or nervous system.
That’s why Dr. Kimberly Santiago designs every plan from the ground up.

Her approach begins with listening—then expands into a comprehensive evaluation of the airway, nervous system, joints, posture, jaws, cranial relationships, and facial structure before tooth movement ever begins. Teeth are aligned with custom clear aligners, but alignment is never the starting point—it is the final step.

A Global Perspective. A Singular Vision.

What truly sets Dr. Santiago apart is the depth and breadth of her training. She is a dedicated student of leading airway, orthodontic, and craniofacial experts across the United States and Europe integrating global insight and advanced techniques into every case.

Airway-centered orthodontics—sometimes referred to as airway orthodontics, forward-growth orthodontics, or teledontics—is far more complex and technical than traditional orthodontics or Invisalign-only treatment. It requires advanced diagnostics, 3D imaging, precise sequencing, and an understanding of how skeletal change, breathing, neuromuscular balance, and tooth movement interact over time.

Dr. Santiago works in reverse—clearly defining the desired airway, skeletal, and facial outcome first, then engineering the path to get there. Tools, timing, and sequencing are selected with intention and precision, with tooth movement accomplished through customized clear aligner therapy once the foundation is optimized.

No shortcuts. No cookie-cutter plans.
Just expert design and long-term thinking—rarely found in one provider.

Understanding the Limits of Traditional Orthodontics

Straight teeth do not always mean a healthy smile or a healthy body.

Traditional orthodontics is highly effective at aligning teeth. However, it often focuses primarily on tooth position and may not fully evaluate the structures that support long-term health: jaw size, joint health (TMJ), airway volume, tongue space, nasal breathing, and facial balance. Teeth can be moved, but alignment alone cannot correct an underdeveloped jaw or a restricted airway.

When space is limited, treatment may rely on tooth reduction, extractions, or moving teeth outside their ideal bone support rather than addressing why the jaws were too small to begin with. While the result may appear straight, some patients later experience jaw discomfort, TMJ symptoms, headaches, tooth wear, chewing difficulty, breathing or sleep challenges, and a higher risk of relapse when the underlying foundation is not addressed.

At AirSync, orthodontics is designed around the whole system, not just the teeth.

We plan treatment with airway health, skeletal balance, oral function, and long-term stability in mind so alignment supports breathing, sleep, comfort, and overall well-being. Our goal is not simply a straight smile, but a healthy, functional one that lasts.

Complimentary Is Not Comprehensive or Necessarily Qualitative

A complimentary consultation is not the same as a comprehensive evaluation with precision treatment planning. Free does not always equate to depth, customization, or experience.

Traditional orthodontic consultations often focus on tooth alignment alone and do not routinely screen for snoring or breathing-disordered sleep, use 3D CBCT imaging to evaluate the airway, or coordinate care with ENT or sleep medicine when appropriate. Functional habilitation—such as myofunctional therapy—is frequently outside the scope of standard care. Treatment plans are often standardized, which can make care faster and more affordable, but may not address the full complexity of the jaws, airway, nervous system, and facial growth.

A Different Starting Point

AirSync begins with the foundation.

We evaluate the joints, cranial and jaw relationships, posture, nasal breathing, airway volume, and oral function before focusing on tooth movement. By addressing jaw size and airway health first, we create a stable base for alignment, comfort, and long-term success.

Our goal is never to compromise healthy teeth to make them fit.

Our goal is to support the anatomy the body was designed to have and to plan care with intention, precision, and long-term health in mind.

Better Options. Better Health.

Teens and adults can benefit from advanced, airway-focused orthodontic and orthopedic approaches that support healthier breathing, improved sleep, greater comfort, and long-term stability. When structure and function are addressed together, patients often experience not only a better smile—but better health and quality of life.

Advanced Tools. Thoughtfully Integrated.

Because Dr. Santiago is trained across multiple disciplines and modalities, AirSync treatment plans often combine orthopedic, neuromuscular, periodontal, and orthodontic therapies to achieve true 3D skeletal, airway, and facial change, while supporting breathing, sleep, joint health, and appearance.

MARPE® — Skeletal Expansion

Using custom-designed skeletal expanders and expert placement, Dr. Santiago can reshape the upper jaw in three dimensions—broadening the palate, widening the nasal floor, improving tongue space, correcting vertical or gummy smiles, and advancing the maxilla when indicated. This approach can significantly improve breathing and sleep, optimize TMJ function, enhance facial balance, and in many cases reduce or eliminate the need for jaw surgery. While ideal earlier in life, meaningful results are achievable even in adults into their 60s and 70s.

If you are thinking about jaw surgery, MARPE is an ABSOLUTE MUST first!!!

Homeoblock® & POD Appliances

Cranially focused devices that support symmetry, align cranial and cervical structures, improve TMJ function, and optimize airway muscle tone. Often used before MARPE, these appliances prepare the system for safe, precise skeletal change. Homeoblocks are not used as expansion appliances.

SFOT + Clear Aligners

A powerful combination of minimally invasive periodontal surgery and advanced clear aligner planning that supports lower arch expansion and some upper arch expansion, improves bone and gum health, accelerates tooth movement, and delivers stable, functional, and aesthetic results.

ALF Therapy — Neurologic & Cranial Stability

Sometimes the nervous system is not ready for expansion—or expansion may not be needed. ALF therapy, combined with OraLase® and cranial or osteopathic care, helps restore neurologic balance and system stability—creating the foundation for successful, predictable orthodontic outcomes.

When Jaw Surgery Is Necessary and Why Preparation Matters

For some patients with severely underdeveloped jaws, orthopedic, functional and neurologic therapies alone are not enough.

At AirSync, we prepare patients properly for jaw surgery.

Jaw surgery can subtly widen and advance the jaws, but it cannot fix nasal breathing. Without optimizing nasal anatomy and function first, sleep apnea and poor sleep often persist—even after surgery.  If the nose is not functional, it does not matter how large you make the airway.

That’s why nasal optimization comes first, often using MARPE, alongside cranial and neurologic support. This airway-first approach is a new way of thinking—one that treats the root cause rather than relying on jaw position alone.

We help determine if surgery is truly necessary, and if so, how to prepare your airway and nervous system to improve surgical outcomes and long-term stability.

Why the TMJ’s Matter

At AirSync, every airway and orthodontic case begins with the jaw joints.
The TMJs must be asymptomatic and stable before any cranial, airway, or orthodontic treatment begins.

If joints are unstable and teeth or jaws are moved anyway, joint position and function can worsen, leading to pain, clicking, locking, headaches, or dysfunction during treatment or years later.

The AirSync Sequence

Joint stability → Cranial alignment → Facial, jaw, and nasal development → Tooth alignment

This order is essential. Skipping steps or changing the sequence increases risk and can compromise outcomes.

The True Origin of Joint Problems

TMJ issues rarely start at the teeth. They often begin much earlier than commonly understood:

  • A misaligned cranial base developing in the womb or during birth
  • Poor forward jaw growth in early childhood
  • The lower jaw becoming trapped behind the upper jaw
  • Orthodontic mechanics that lock the mandible back rather than support growth

Over time, this creates joint strain, airway restriction, and long-term instability.

Why This Is Different

Most traditional orthodontic models do not adequately assess or manage joints, cranial alignment, and airway development together—due to limited training, time constraints, and a tooth-focused framework.

At AirSync, we are trained to evaluate and treat the entire craniofacial system, prioritizing function, stability, and long-term health—not just straight teeth.

Act Early. Treat Correctly.

Early assessment and intervention, after birth and especially in growing children can prevent years of dysfunction and reduce the need for invasive care later.

Be assessed properly.  Be treated appropriately.
Protect joint health. Protect breathing. Protect long-term function. Call AirSync today.

Total Wellness — Mind, Face, Body

You do not need to be an airway or orthodontic patient to access these services. Our mental, facial, and body wellness treatments are available to anyone seeking improved balance, comfort, and well-being.

At AirSync, we believe true wellness comes from balance—how you breathe, how your body feels, and how your nervous system responds to everyday life.

The SANO Method™ is our whole-person approach to care. It recognizes that breathing, posture, muscle tone, sleep, and emotional regulation are deeply connected. When one area is stressed, the rest of the body feels it. When balance is restored, healing becomes easier and life feels better.

To support this process, we offer gentle, non-invasive therapies that help calm the nervous system, support facial and core muscles, and make orthodontic or airway treatment more comfortable. These therapies help kids, teens, and adults feel more relaxed, resilient, and supported through care.

This isn’t about adding more treatment. It’s about helping the body integrate change smoothly, so outcomes are better and the journey feels easier.  We are helping build resilience and stability.

These services are available as standalone treatments—no airway or orthodontic care required.

Airway, Oral, and Whole-Body Health Are One System

At AirSync, we have practiced oral systemic wellness since 2012, among the first in the country to recognize that the mouth, airway, and body cannot be treated separately. Today, we integrate this approach directly into our airway care.

Your smile is more than teeth; it is a gateway to whole-body health.

Healthy breathing depends on well-developed jaws, a functional tongue, and open nasal airways. When nasal breathing is optimized, inflammation decreases, the nervous system calms, and sleep becomes deeper and more restorative.

Oral health directly impacts airway and gut health. Periodontal pathogens can enter the bloodstream, disrupt the gut microbiome, drive systemic inflammation, and be aspirated into the airway during sleep—undermining immune, metabolic, cardiovascular, and brain health, as well as airway outcomes.

Modern lifestyles often impair facial growth, breathing, and sleep, compounding these risks. That is why we created the SANO Method™—a root-cause approach addressing Sleep, Airway, Nervous System, and Oral function together.

At AirSync, your smile isn’t just about how it looks.
It’s about how you breathe, how you sleep, and how your body functions.

We now offer periodontal pathogen testing for airway patients, in collaboration with leading oral-systemic colleagues, to identify and reduce a critical, often overlooked source of chronic inflammation.
