The SANO Method™ Helps with sleep, breathing, and airway problems.
Our practice is based on years of education and experience
Dr. Kimberly and her team have distinguished themselves by developing a through method to evaluate and treat the whole patient. We trademarked it the SANO Method™. Sano in Spanish refers to wholesome, healthy and strong. That’s how we want our patients to feel. AirSync is uniquely the only practice offering the SANO Method, though we may expand it to other providers in the future.
Our Four Pillars
Our Four Pillars
Optimized sleep is essential for lasting health and vitality. Breathing disorders during sleep go far beyond traditional sleep apnea, in fact many cases of dysfunctional breathing don’t meet formal diagnostic criteria—yet can be just as harmful. These issues often progress into sleep apnea when left untreated. We focus on identifying root causes early to restore healthy sleep, enhancing both physical and mental well-being for lifelong good health.
Impaired airway anatomy can cause turbulent airflow and tissue collapse, limiting oxygen to the brain and body. The result is excess stress hormones and nervous system overdrive. This in turn leads to, life-long neurocognitive deficits, poor appearance, mental disorders, cardiovascular disease, and higher risk of dementia. We diagnose and treat impaired airway anatomy and function and it’s never too early or too late to seek intervention.
What does the nervous system have to do with sleep and breathing? Everything. The problem originates in pregnancy, birth, the time after birth, into early childhood and beyond. Fetal position, prenatal stress, the birth process, and postnatal experiences impact the expression of reflexes and functionality. The SANO Method™ gives us a comprehensive process to identify and treat these issues. The earlier we start, the more efficient the treatment.
How we eat, breathe, and develop starts with oral function and orofacial posture. At AirSync, we assess the whole picture, from maternal health and the birth process, to tongue-tie, breastfeeding longevity, and diet. These influence palate size, nose shape, jaw growth, tongue posture, and craniofacial development. By identifying issues early and providing preventive, lasting solutions, we help infants, children, and adults achieve optimal oral function, and long- term health.
